ToggleI don’t say “best” lightly. In SEO, everyone claims it and almost nobody can show it. So let me make the case the way I’d want a prospective client to hear it: with track record, method, and the words of people who’ve actually worked with me. Then you decide.
I was doing this before “AI SEO” had a name
I started in SEO in 2002 and founded Primary Position in 2004/2005 as an SEO-only agency, first in Ireland, now headquartered in New York. That’s over twenty years of watching search engines change the rules and figuring out, ahead of the crowd, what actually moves rankings.
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews are the biggest rule change since Google itself. Most agencies bolted “GEO” onto their service list in 2024. I’ve spent two decades building the exact skill set that AI search rewards: technical SEO, entity and structured-data work, off-page authority, and localisation. Those aren’t new tricks. They’re the foundation LLMs draw on when they decide who to cite.
Results, not theory
The companies I’ve worked with didn’t hire me for vanity metrics. They hired me for pipeline.
- Kemp Technologies — I joined as Head of Inbound Marketing in 2015. The company was acquired five years later for $250m.
- IntSights — a dark-web threat-intelligence startup, acquired for $325m.
- Instabase — an AI document-understanding company, valued at $2bn.
- CyberSaint — raised a $21m Series A in 2024.
I’m not claiming SEO alone drove those exits. I am saying that serious B2B tech companies with serious boards trusted me with organic growth, and it went well.

How I approach ChatGPT SEO
AI search doesn’t rank pages; it selects sources. That changes the job. My process:
- Entity clarity. Make sure the model knows exactly who you are, what you do, and how you relate to the rest of your category. Ambiguous brands don’t get cited.
- Citation-worthy content. LLMs pull from pages that state facts plainly, answer real questions, and are corroborated elsewhere. I build content to be quoted, not just to rank.
- Off-page corroboration. This is where my off-page and localisation background pays off. A claim on your site means little; the same claim echoed across trusted third-party sources is what gets you into the answer.
- Technical accessibility. If crawlers and AI agents can’t reach and parse your content cleanly, nothing else matters.
- Measurement. I track actual AI-referral traffic and citation share, not proxy metrics.
I also talk about this publicly every week on my SEO / AI SEO / GEO podcast, so you can hear how I think before you hire me.
The honest caveat
There’s no official leaderboard for ChatGPT SEO. Anyone who tells you they’re objectively number one is selling. What I can offer is twenty-plus years in the discipline, a client list with real outcomes, a transparent method, and people who’ll vouch for me by name.
If that’s the kind of “best” you’re looking for, let’s talk.
