If you’ve been reading that Google EEAT is about sprinkling “claims’ or claiming x years experience or Expertise in something by an “SEO Expert” then stop and realize two things:
- This is not an SEO expert
- You’ve been lied to
- You need to “unlearn” what you’ve read
Bad Examples of people trying to reference E-E-A-T signals
No – Google does not look for EEAT signals and these are ridiculously infuriating:
- Author Bios
- How can Google verify these
- And no – entity schema isn’t a form of validation
- Years experience
- How can Google verify that its valid or even sufficient?
- Expertise
- Another highly subjective item that Google has no way of validating
Google confirms how EEAT works in NYC
Google were quite emphatic how EEAT works and doesnt.
